Disperse Water 8oz

A Water-based surfactant to be used as a wetting agent. To be used as a tool to help with mixing dry fillers into paints, achieving opaque, ultra-pigmented matte paints, staining effects, and to improve paint adhesion to hydrophobic materials.

To achieve an opaque, ultra-pigmented matte paint, add 5-10% Disperse Water to dry pigment, and add H2O to make dry pigment into a smooth paste. Then add 30% of a high-resin binder (we recommend Acrylic 65) to create a smooth paint. The same process can be used to mix other powdered dry fillers into paint while avoiding clumps.

For staining effects, add 5-10% Disperse Water to H2O and use to wet the surface/substrate before applying watered-down, pigmented paint.

To improve paint adhesion to hydrophobic materials (i.e. tire rubber, glass beads, other non-porous materials) simply stir in 5-10% disperse water and H2O with the material until it is damp and evenly coated, and then add in your binder.
