Thickener#2 4oz

An additive to be used in conjunction with water-based Urethane binders to achieve everything from minimal thickening to a thick, honey-like consistency. Can also be used as a secondary thickener for Acrylics after adding Thickener #1 to achieve a clear tar gel.

For Urethanes: Add 1-5% Thickener #2 to Urethane medium and stir rapidly (but not too fast as to cause bubbling) around the perimeter of container for 5-10 seconds. For large batches of a gallon or more, use an electric drill with a paint mixing blade. Wait 20 seconds for the thickening reaction to cease before deciding to add more.

For Acrylics: Add 1-5% Thickener #1 to Acrylic medium and stir rapidly (but not too fast as to cause bubbling) around the perimeter of container for 5-10 seconds. Wait 20 seconds for the thickening reaction to cease before deciding to add more. Then add 1-5% Thickener #2 and stir until thoroughly mixed to achieve a tar gel consistency.
